We are looking for senior Java developers to drive the design and evolution
of Commodore's infrastructure and application components. The successful
applicants will participate in technical design sessions and code reviews,
create and evolve code using Test-Driven Development, and interact with
other technology teams within our Risk, Legal, and Operations areas to
deliver consistent, accurate calculations to our users. The role will be
hands-on and will allow you to gain an understanding of collateral
management and the broad array of products traded at the firm, including our
OTC derivatives, securities, loans, and funding businesses. The successful
candidate will participate in all phases of a project lifecycle and work
with extremely bright, motivated individuals.
Experience /Skills: Mandatory:
• The primary technologies used within the team are Java, C#, UDB, JMS, and
Hibernate.- plus the implementation of caching and workflow (jBPM)
technologies.
• High degree of competency in Object Oriented Design and Analysis
• Expert level knowledge of Java
• Demonstrated history of technical project successfully deployed to
production
• Experience in test-driven development
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• 4-6 years of relevant experience
Desirable:
• Familiarity with UML and Eclipse
