Title: Cisco Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 3 Months Rate: Need competitive on C2C Three to five years of experience in Network Engineering/Operations field. Hands on experience of configuring Layer2 and Layer3 devices such as switches and routers. Experience with Level 2/Level3 network support. Working knowledge of the OSI model with a detailed understanding of local and wide area networks. Understanding of Quality of Service (QoS). Familiarity with network Management and Monitoring tools such as Cisco Works, Solarwinds, Stealthwatch or other Netflow reporting tools. *Preferred Qualifications:* Working knowledge of latest Cisco routers and switches, including: 6500, 4500, 3560, 3750 series switches 2600, 2800, 2900, 3800, 7200 series routers Working knowledge of creating and implementing industry best practices configurations and Quality of Service configurations on Cisco routers and switches Cisco Certifications such as CCNA/ CCNP or other Industry standard or Vendor certifications Experienced with working in Large Enterprise environment *Responsibilities: * We will require an engineer who is able to develop custom switch configurations from templates. The engineer should have extensive hands on experience with Cisco equipment in an enterprise environment.
