Participate in the design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of development, test and production .NET environments. Develop objects, framework, and common code bases to support web-based, high-volume transaction applications Work collaboratively with the DBAs to create stored procedures Participate in the identification, project planning, analysis, design, development and implementation of assigned project(s) Provide both written and oral communication on task progress, issues, and risks to technical leads and Project Manager Evaluate and monitor databases and stored procedures together with DBAs to identify and resolve performance issues Assist in developing test plans and work with QA to complete testing findings and perform component and integration testing Work within the team framework, utilizing tools like VSS and Team Foundation Server (TFS) Document technical aspects of project Works in a team environment, sharing responsibilities and reporting to technical leads and project managers. *ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES* · Must have solid experience in Visual Basic or .NET (1.1 or 2.0) · Previous experience working with SQL-Server 2000/2005 and complex stored procedures; · Must demonstrate proficiency in concepts and technologies like event-driven programming, object-oriented methodology, XML based Web Services, and ASP .NET · Demonstrates architecture/object-oriented design and development experience in a .NET framework · Understands role of web servers and related software as they pertain to limitations placed on development and implementation of applications · Familiar with physical-layer hardware interfaces, higher-level OS architecture, communications technology, embedded applications, and enterprise management · Strong unit testing and integration testing experience; system testing skills a plus · Ability to move easily between multiple projects at any given time; · Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communications. *In addition, working knowledge of the following is desired:* · JavaScript; ASP; XML; XSLT; C#; WAP; Macromedia/Flash *CSS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE · * · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with a programming focus · 5+ years of proven development experience using Microsoft-based technologies · 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale internet applications · 5+ years of experience in .NET development and SQL Server.
