Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer – Java with Oracle PL/SQL Location : Marlborough, MA Duration : 6 months *NOTE: Candidate MUST have their own car and D.L. as there is no public transportation in Marlborough. The Technical breakdown would be 60% Java and 40% Oracle PL/SQL. This role requires the candidate to be strong on the front and back end. * Minimum Requirements: Keys to this Position : Must have experience with the following technologies: Java/J2EE, Oracle, PL/SQL, Weblogic, MQ, XML, and JMS. MQ Broker and ESQL would be a big + The ideal candidate will have between 5 and 8 years of experience Working in Financial Services is a strong + Strong communication and collaboration skills are required. Responsibilities : Participate in design, implementation, deployment, and support efforts. Design, prototype and code new software components and applications based on functional specifications. Coordinate with analyst teams to execute test plans and provide support during user acceptance testing. Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance. Provide day-to-day production systems support including monitoring, trouble-shooting and fixing problems as they occur. Work with other software engineers to design and implement application features and business functionality enhancements. Author technical design and support documentation. Qualifications : Technical and systems analysis skills. 4+ years related work experience with full project lifecycle. 4+ years of proven object-oriented software design and development experience. 4+ years of proven design and development experience in Java-based technologies. Must possess 4+ years with Oracle SQL, SQL tuning and PL/SQL skills. 3+ years of proven experience with such technologies as XML/XSLT, Struts Framework, log4j, ANT, Spring Framework (nice to have). Proven experience in building technology solutions to satisfy complex business needs. Must be comfortable working in a Unix environment writing shell scripts.. Experience using and deploying to industry-leading application servers such as BEA WebLogic 9.x or above.
