Here's a new contract position that I'm currently accepting resumes for: (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) Contract: 06/21/2010 to 06/20/2011 Work Location: Creve Coeur, MO 63141 Work Hours:9:00 am - 5:00 pm (40 hr week) # of Openings: 1 Comments: local only. - Experience in Real-Time High Volume systems - Financial Services or related industry Description This position will be responsible for day to day development of software modules and components as required by the project / team. Enhancements & Support of existing infrastructure will also be part of this role. Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Participating in project planning sessions with team members to analyze the company's Development requirements. - Working with project teams to define and design scope for each project. - Help in making recommendations for buy VS build decisions based on requirements and expected system features. - Providing design recommendations, developing and integrating programs per written specifications. - Responsible for writing moderate to complex design specifications. - Translating business and technical requirements into detailed design specifications for application code and modules. - Preparing and presenting status updates for various projects. - Making moderate to complex modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications and industry standards. - Developing software application modules using disciplined software development processes. - Unit testing and implementing application modules from multiple systems the team has developed or modified, ensuring application meets needs of client and business. - Provides assistance in researching new and emerging technologies. Works with vendors to understand technology. Evaluating new tools, technologies and platforms to be included. - Individual contributors provide specialist guidance and advice in particular technical areas, to influence direction or service quality. - May have cost responsibility for own team/project, and/or contributes to forecasting budgets and recommending expenditure without being fully accountable for them. - Identifies ways to improve the operation of own area and to achieve efficiencies and results. - Sets timeframes and schedules to meet customer and business needs. Qualification Education BS/BA in Engineering of Software discipline. Required Skills (Must have): - Ability to produce high level, good quality code - Ability to work independently and remotely if required - Ability to take initiative to gather requirements, documentation and any such documents related to the project - Ability to translate high level business requirements into technical requirements and technical requirements into high quality code. - Good communication to peers as well as to external groups - Demonstrated problem solving skills - Knowledge of Production systems / Previously in a Support Role Technical Skills: - Languages: C, C++, Scripting (UNIX (beginner) and Windows (intermediate)) - Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX (or equivalent) - Technologies: XML, HTML, HTTP, Web-Services, FTP, TCP/IP Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills) - Databases: RDBMS (optional) - Experience in Real-Time High Volume systems - Financial Services or related industry -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
