Position Details: Rate – 35/hr C2C Location – Boca Raton Duration – 6 Months+ Description: Required Skills - *5+ years Teradata DBA (V2R6/TD12/TD13) experience, in a production environment required* - Approximately 8-12 years experience in related field - *Database Administration and System Monitoring* - Comprehensive and practical knowledge of the following: -- Extensive experience with system and application troubleshooting, upgrades, workload management, performance tuning, recovery, and capacity planning of the *Teradata Database 12/13 in a MP-RAS/Linux environment* -- Support and implementation of tools and utilities such as *Fastload, FastExport, Multiload, TPump, Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT), Data Mover, Viewpoint, Arcmain including Cluster archives* -- Serve as an expert consultant to application developers to provide expertise on SQL, Macros, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and AJIs/JIs -- Strong knowledge of Teradata database administration best practices required -- *Interface with the latest BIDW technologies such as Cognos, SAS, DataStage* -- Fundamental knowledge of operating systems and system development Communication/Personal – Strong demonstration of the following: - Ability to multi-task under minimum supervision - Detail-oriented and good follow-up skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with project management and planning experience - Capable to interface closely with internal/external customers and advice on database solutions Education: - Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent training and experience; Graduate degree preferred Responsibilities: - Serves as an expert consultant to applications developers to provide expertise on database capabilities and constraints - Supports application development teams by recognizing and evaluating database issues and implementing solutions. - Performs data modeling; develops physical designs that demonstrate trade-offs between logical design and system performance - Creates logical and physical database designs - Establishes security and replication procedures - Demonstrates expert understanding of database performance tuning, data backup, recovery and security processes/ procedures - Participates in 24x7 on-call support rotation -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
