Job Title:Sr.Informatica Admin Location: Plano,TX High Level Job Description: This position is primarily responsible for support, maintenance and administration of the Data Integration Environments and Infrastructure. This currently includes Informatica, Ab Initio and SAP Data Services (especially data quality). In addition, the candidate will leverage Informatica development experience to consult with application teams on related topics and may perform small development projects. Job Description: Administer and support the Data Integration ETL Infrastructure, products and environments consisting primarily of Informatica 8.1 and Ab Initio 2.x (and higher) Administer and support other Data Integration related Infrastructure, products and environments from above and other vendors including: Data Quality, Data profiling, Metadata Management, etc. 24x7 on-call support (on a rotation basis) in a very dynamic environment with mission critical applications Interface with Unix Engineering, DB, Network, etc… teams to perform troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis and resolve infrastructure issues Interface with Support teams (some offshore), developers, etc. to perform troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis and resolve application issues Proactively monitor operations, capacity, etc…and provide performance tuning to system components as required to ensure optimum function of Informatica environments Provide input/assist with architecture, implementation and support of failover, high availability, disaster recovery Plan, coordinate, communicate, test, implement/Install product upgrades, patches, etc.. (previous experience with release upgrades a plus) Build out new application environments/onboard new applications. Develop/maintain Infrastructure, Environment Landscape and other relevant/applicable documentation. Consult with applications teams as needed on architecture, code development, tuning, best practices, etc. Develop/enhance/support HR Interface development projects - design, code, test, implementation, documentation, turnover to support team, etc…(following a project lifecycle methodology) Develop/enhance/support data quality development projects - design, code, test, implementation, documentation, turnover to support team, etc…(following a project lifecycle methodology) Skill Sets: Required: Data Integration ETL Informatica UNIX Ab Initio Linux Desired: DB2 Oracle SAP Teradata Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline Minimum 8 years of industry experience Excellent Informatica (8.x and higher) administration experience/skills installing, configuring, administering and maintaining Enterprise infrastructure/environments Excellent Informatica developer experience/skills using PowerCenter client tools, with a deep understanding of ETL concepts, standards and best practices Strong Unix/Linux administration and Korn Shell Scripting experience/skills Strong troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis and problem solving experience/skills Good database development, SQL, physical database design and data modeling (Oracle, DB2, Teradata, SQL Server) experience/skills Good Project Management and estimation (tasks, work effort, etc..) experience/skills Web services/SOA web technologies, JMS Topics, SAP connector experience/skills Self-Motivated, require minimal direction/work independently, team player, share knowledge, build partnerships across the organization with a great customer service attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with peers, business users and technical users * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
