*Position Summary *
Job Description:
This position is for a developer to create, modify and support iSeries RPG
ETL custom code processes for daily data extracts and transmissions.
Responsibilities include working with Error Resolution staff to determine
requirements, providing work estimates, creation, modification and testing
of packages for ETL, ETL monitoring and problem solving, database object
creation and modification, application testing and debugging, writing and
tuning SQL, analyzing and tuning application database objects, producing
documentation, knowledge sharing with team members and on-call support.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years experience iSeries RPG development, testing and support;
Experience with iSeries data import/export, QDLS and IFS files;
Experience with iSeries Physical file creation;
Experience with iSeries SQL table and index creation;
Experience with iSeries Aldon change management software;
Experience with iSeries Robot job scheduler;
Experience with iSeries security;
Experience with data transformations (ETL);
Experience writing and tuning SQL;
Able to work effectively in a team environment; detail oriented; strong
organization skills; strong written and oral communication skills;
self-motivated; good analytical and problem solving skills; ability to
establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external
customers; strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word,
Excel and Access.
Preferred Skills:
8+ years experience iSeries RPG development, testing and support;
3+ years experience with iSeries SQL table and index creation;
3+ years experience with iSeries data import/export, QDLS and IFS files;
3+ years experience with the iSeries DB2 XML extender;
3+ years experience with iSeries Physical file creation;
3+ years experience with iSeries Aldon change management software;
3+ years experience with iSeries Robot job scheduler;
3+ years experience with iSeries security;
5+ years experience with data transformations using different
methods/products;
3+ years experience writing and tuning SQL;
Experience with iSeries DB2 XML extender;
Experience with Java on iSeries;
Experience with XML on iSeries;
Experience with Windows security, remote desktop and job scheduler;
Experience with Embarcadero E/R Studio Data Architect;
Crop Insurance Industry knowledge (Appendix III-M13)
