QA Tester Bothell, WA 3 years contract Responsibilities: * Reviewing wireframes, business and functional requirements for a consumer facing eCommerce Web site * Creating comprehensive test plans and test cases from either detailed documentation or a verbal overview * Executing complex test cases and scenarios * Writing and driving defects to resolution * Reporting test outcomes by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing and displaying data * Work with QA leadership, QA peers, development and project management to drive test execution and defect resolution to completion * Own project areas from project planning to deployment * Identifying and reporting project risks Requirements: * 5+ years experience in software quality assurance and testing * 3+ years experience testing a web-based ecommerce application * Expert at developing full coverage test plans and writing test cases that can be executed by anyone * Basic understanding of web technologies * Ability to troubleshoot and diagnosis basic HTML, XML and JAVA issues * Familiar with SQL and using query tools such as TOAD * Familiar with UNIX * Expert knowledge of Windows and its supporting web browsers * Familiar with Macintosh and its supporting web browsers * Must be capable of being self-directing while working both independently or within a team: - Able to determine what needs to be done - Able to determine what questions need to be asked - Able to determine how to get it done - Able to execute to get it done * Strong understanding of QA processes and SDLC * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Must be able to work effectively with offsite peers * Must be available to work when the project requires after-hours and overtime * Ability to innovate Fill The skill Matrix Skill Years of Exp Last used(MM/DD/YY) Software testing eCommerce testing Web testing test case creation written and oral communication UNIX / LINUX SQL Strong understanding QA process/SDLC Flexibility/proactive Defect resolution I appreciate your time and support.
