Oracle DBA Germantown, MD 06 months Contract Rate: DOE Skills - IBM Rational Clearcase - IBM Rational Clearquest - Oracle - SQL - Scripting Required skills and abilities: . A minimum of 3 years of industry experience related to deploying software to Linux/ Windows and data center environment is preferred. . Experience in build scheduling/management, release scheduling, and tracking, driving, and managing bug lists is required. . Experience with Microsoft Office is required (eg. Excel, Powerpoint, and Word). . Experience with a bug management system is required, ClearQuest and Jira experience is preferred. . Experience with a source control management system is required, ClearCase and Subversion experience is preferred. . Experience in authoring and maintaining wiki-based web site content is preferred. . Experience with a SQL database system is a plus, Oracle experience is preferred. . Experience with a scripting language is a plus, eg. perl, linux shell scripting, etc. . Team player with the ability to work independently. Job Responsibilities: . Promoting application and non-build deployments to controlled test, integration and production runtime environments. . Pro-actively identifying procedures to streamline and automate the deployment process . Updating defect, change and release records in change management systems. . Generating reports and metrics from the change management systems. . Troubleshooting deployment issues. . Setting up new tools and develop automated release engineering scripts to increase team productivity and quality. . Documenting all procedures related to the processes and tools developed. . Interacting with Program Managers, Developers, Database Administrators, Test and Support teams. Education: - Bachelor's Degree or minimum 3 years of industry experience is required.
