Teradata DBA Location: Herndon, VA. Duration : 6months Provide Database Administration support for large *Teradata* Prod-like and Development databases. * Create, maintain, and support *Teradata* environment * Physical database design * Administration of objects in Development and Prod-like environment * Development of pro-active processes for monitoring capacity and performance * Perform system level and application level tuning * Support the application development teams for database needs and guidance * Perform backup and recovery operations * Support data movement between production/Prod-like/Development databases * Support of end user queries * Database security administration Job Requirements: * 7+ years experiences in *Teradata* handling large TB data environment (* Teradata* V2R5/V2R6 *Teradata* Database Release 12.0) * Strong in database architecture, design, tuning, and trouble shooting * Expertise in the transition of the logical data models to physical data models using PowerDesigner or equivalent data modeling tools * Performance optimization/Partitioning, Indexing Strategy (PPI, USI, NUSI), Compression * Experience in Tuning via Explain plan analysis * Work Load Management (TASM) * Very familiar with *Teradata* utilities like BTEQ, TPUMP,MLOAD, FLOAD, TPT and SQL Assistant tools * Experiences in backup and restore (BAR) design and implementation * Familiar with Unix Scripting languages * Experiences in Disaster Recovery exercises * Excellent personal communication, leadership and organizational skills * Sound *Teradata* knowledge to communicate with business to get the requirement * Knowledge of Retail domain is a plus * Team Player <[email protected]> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
