*Location: *Rockville MD *Length of Assignment: *6 months The performance testing architect is responsible for determining and developing appropriate test automation strategies and plans for one or more projects, and to track and report progress on the plans during the project life cycle. In addition, the test automation architect takes the role of a mentor/coach/reviewer for performance test engineers working on various other projects. *Responsibilities/Essential Duties:* Ø Develop Test Automation Strategies and Plans for effective and efficient practice Ø Develop and maintain automation project plan Ø Provide technical guidance to the test team to ensure test activities are performed according to the developed test strategy and test plan Ø Define and implement effective and efficient testing processes, documentation, tools, and testing methodologies. Ø Identify and report test automation related risks, and develop appropriate remediation solutions *Required:* Ø 10+ years experience with software quality assurance Ø Expertise in implementing performance testing solutions using HP Mercury Suite tools Ø Experience on projects working as *Automation Test Lead or Manager* Ø Practical knowledge and working experience in all phases of software QA Ø Experience implementing automation solutions across multiple projects and multiple releases Ø Excellent written and oral communication skills *Preferred:* Ø Experience working directly with development and operational teams Ø Experience working with iterative development methodologies Ø Experience testing in *J2EE and/or .NET technology platforms* Ø Experience *with C/C++, Java, multiple OS and RDBMS* Ø Experience in *Financial domain* *EDUCATION:* Ø BS in CS, Engineering or equivalent.
