There are two of these positions and they will both start with an initial
engagement of 6 months.
Located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is for a COGNOS 8 Administrator that is willing to learn DataStage 7.5
Administration.
Administer Cognos8 BI environments (included Portal, Report Studio, Event
Studio, Transformer, Metric Studio, Query Studio, Go! Modules, etc.)
Help design, package, and build new environments for Cognos.
Ensure Cognos environments remain available and functional.
Provide support.
Root-cause and resolve issues.
Interact and communicate with Cognos users.
Leverage Cognos SDK, Java, and scripting languages to implement utilities to
maintain DataStage & Cognos environments and Content Store.
Help develop/fix ETL code, meta-data models, cubes, reports, etc. when
needed.
Help tune SQL queries, jobs, cubes, and reports.
Be available and flexible to support evolving business needs, including off
hour activities.
Leverage troubleshooting tools on Windows and Solaris to investigate issues.
