*Backup and Recovery Engineer / System Engineer*
*6-12 month contract assignment*
*Need two people*
*One must work onsite in Chandler, AZ*
*The second can work in either Folsom, CA or Hillsboro, OR*
Project Description:
Assist with the deployment of next generation enterprise backup system
implementations. Specifically, help complete migrations from legacy backup
systems to new environments, installation and configuration of enterprise
backup software, and creation of operational metrics. The end result will
allow Intel to meet strategic consolidation project goals and help with
meeting required compliances.
Daily Responsibilities:
.Testing, validating Symantec NetBackup 7.x within the enterprise
.Creation of installation, support, and training documentation
.Built out and maintenance of testing / certification lab
.(skill dependent) Backup Reporting: Testing, migration and possible report
creation
*% of travel required: 10%*
Necessary Skills (Must Have):
*Must be a U.S. Citizen or have and EAD or a Green Card*
*3-5 years experience in:
.Symantec / VERITAS NetBackup 6.5.x including components related to
Exchange, SQL, Oracle/RMAN, SharePoint, NOM, PBX, NDMP.
.LTO-4 and Scalar i2000/i6000 (or other Scalar ATLs)
.Tape Drive Encryption
.Windows Systems Administration
.Expert Troubleshooting Skills
.CLEAR Communication Skills
.Scripting/Automation

Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
.Storage Area Networking Administration
.Virtual Tape Library Administration
.Backup Deduplication experience
