*BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB*
The successful candidate will have strong design and implementation skills
with the ability to cover a diverse range of technologies and solutions. An
ability to turn requirements into reality and create well designed
solutions. The developer will be responsible for all aspects of the software
development lifecycle including design, development, testing, support and
maintenance.

*WORK PERFORMED*
- Develop Java & Adobe Flex based applications
- Responsible for testing and code review of the web applications before
release to production, including submission of appropriate integration test
specifications
- Document code and processes in accordance with IS department standards
- Accurately estimating time on multiple projects
- Develop positive working relationships with the business and IS
organization.
- Take responsibility for resolving change requests and other assigned
tasks by the agreed upon deadlines or milestone promise dates
- Maintain awareness of software product developments and trends in
technology and determine if and how they can be used to enhance productivity
- Understand the ever-changing business environment and the specifics of
each Business Unit
- May mentor, and help to develop or refine skills of team members in the
areas application development and coding standards
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge & Experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong software development skills and demonstrated proficiency in at
least J2SE 6 and J2EE 1.6, Struts, Spring, JSP, and JSTL
- Experience with JBoss 4 desirable
- Flex 3 and 3.5
- Experience with version control systems such as SVN, Git
- Knowledge of session management, object relational mapping, and agile
development methodologies desired
- Working knowledge of SQL and XML
- Familiarity with SAP considered a plus
- Experienced with full life cycle software development (SDLC)
- Has participated in group project work sessions making major decisions
regarding application design, architecture and system testing
- Proven skills and ability to work on multiple projects
- Highly articulate in both oral and written communication for technical
documentation and presentation; to technical and business people
- Candidate should work well in a team environment and be able to give
and receive constructive feedback, yet an aggressive self-starter and change
agent. This person will require little supervision and possess leadership
characteristics with a strong commitment to his/her career
- Eclipse (or similar IDE)
*EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS*
- BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
Master’s desirable
- Minimum 3-5 year hands on experience in all aspects of e-business and
software development. Preferably some experience with a technology reseller
