Skills:
· Installation, configuration and administration of Cognos 10 in
Linux/Unix, multi-tier, virtual server and Windows environment.
· Support Cognos production environment for large scale user base
Job Role / Responsibilities:
· Define and architect the best practices of a Cognos BI
Infrastructure. Coordinates operational designs, develops support plans and
provides support for applications.
· Installation, configuration and administration of Cognos 10 in
Linux/Unix, multi-tier, virtual server and Windows environment.
· Support Cognos production environment for large scale user base
· Develop and maintain metadata layer in Cognos Framework Manager.
· Migrate and deploy application code in multiple environments.
· Cognos capacity planning and performance management.
· Monitor Cognos environment for usage and performance metrics
· Available on call support for Production issues
· Provide leadership and vision for best usage and practices with
regards to Cognos tool set.
· Setting standards and guidelines for BI development
· Mentor other team members for knowledge transfer*
· Linux/Unix experience is a major plus
· Knowledge of other BI products such as Crystal Report Server
and/or IBM Information Server (DataStage) are pluses
