Level 2 Deployment Engineer
Education and Experience
• Minimum 5 to 7 years Cisco experience deploying routers and switches. CCNP
level person either previously or current with aspirations to become a Level
3 Engineer. Strong hands on configuration skills with team leadership
capabilities. Experience, preferably in a large financial establishment or
equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
technical or scientific field preferred.

• STP, VTP, Port Channels, HSRP, GLBP.
• Multicast: PIM Sparse/Dense, MSDP.
• DLSW, NAT, QoS, VPNs.
• MPLS: LDP, RSVP, Multi-VRF.
• Market data: Thompson One, Reuters, etc.
• Proficient in utilizing product tools and can render assistance to others.
• Able to perform complex implementations with a minimum of guidance and
oversight from a project manager.
• Proficient in UNIX and Linux.
• Actively working to complete manufacturers certification track Cisco
Systems, Inc. certification of CCIE or CCNP, and/or Juniper Networks, Inc.

• Experienced in working with Blade Network Technology (BNT) devices and
incorporating into network configurations.
