Position : .NET Developer Location : Either Fredericksburg or Chevy Chase. Duration : 6 months contract *Required skills : *C#, ASP.NET, SQL, Mainframe systems using {COBOL, MVS JCL, CICS, DB2}, XML, XSLT, WCF, MVC. * * *Solid .NET developer. C#/ASP.NET/SQL Server; additionally, if they have done some interfaces with legacy/mainframe systems there will be much higher priority given to that candidate. The manager is more concerned about candidate's Mainframe skills over location.* Job Description : Client seeks an experienced OO developer with mainframe experience. This position will work closely with customers, business and technical analysts, and team members to develop support the maintenance and enhancement of the legacy mainframe and client server system and migration of the existing application to new .NET applications. Knowledge of COBOL/CICS/DB2 is preferred, and experience with MQ, FTP, command scripting are pluses. Insurance industry IT experience is preferred.
