This includes creation of middleware and internal api's. • Work with other software developers to design and implement applications, using Java code, and enhancements as needed. • Maintain and enhance applications on an ongoing basis per user/customer feedback. • Ensure that unit and system tests are automated, per quality assurance requirements. • Collaborate as necessary to define and implement regression test suites. • Optimize performance and scalability as necessary to meet business and financial goals of application and environment. • Provide prompt business hours and after hours resolutions to product issues in production * *REQUIRED SKILLS • Seven to ten years of Java development experience for proprietary technologies in a fast-paced environment • Preferred experience with Tomcat, JMX, rule engine, and SOA • Experience integrating with databases (preferably PostgreSQL/Oracle) and middle-tier application server architecture . Experience with C# .Net is a plus • Excellent object oriented software systems design skills and architectural skills Flexibility and willingness to pitch in where needed. This may mean on occasion helping with other functions (e.g. QA, Operations) • Working knowledge of current software security technologies (encryption, authentication, etc.), and their incorporation into software systems • Prefer experience in email/message processing and high-transaction processing environment.
