Need Business Analyst with SQL and SAS Location : WASHINGTON DC Duration : 6 Months Requirements: 6+yrs analysis experience focused on business and financial analytics; Strong working knowledge of SQL and SAS for querying databases, performing analytics and creating summary tabulations. Experience with testing and validation of data and logic required. Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Spotfire or Business Objects required. The resource will be required to work independently to source data and analyze the results. The candidate will need to draw conclusions from the data and communicate findings to stakeholders and respond to inquiries. The successful candidate must be able to own tasks through completion and be capable of having multiple tasks on the go at any one time. Candidates that have a mortgage / finance background are preferred. Demonstrated experience with SQL and SAS is a must. Advanced MS Office skills with a focus on Excel and data reporting functionality is needed. Financial Analytics a plus. Explanation of what this person does in everyday terms: • Query ORACLE databases using TOAD and SAS datasets using SAS • Summarize data and draw conclusions and present results in meaningful ways to management • Independently validate production data provided by external reporting teams per our request • Become the domain expert for one particular business process and become the ‘go to’ person for inquiries in this area.
