* * *Sr. Test Engineer* *Duration: 11 Months* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Summary: ** *Client is looking for skilled software test engineer to join the team creating Product Verification platform. Product Verification platform is a set of tools that enables groups to ensure the usability and reliability of data products. Platform is built using Oracle database, Java, Hadoop, and Shell scripting. This is an excellent opportunity to work hand-in-hand with an energetic and dedicated agile development team performing development and testing activities and demonstrating excellent logic and problem solving skills. *Day-to-day responsibilities include:* • Collaboration with development team to ensure testable user stories are created and estimated • Working with Product Management in determining acceptance criteria for user stories • Implementing presentation layers using BI tools • Generating user-friendly reports using BI tools • Executing a testing process that fits within our Agile development life cycle • Working closely with development team to identify and resolve issues • Analyzing, designing and maintaining test artifacts • Creating and/or setting up test environments and test data • Developing and executing automated and manual tests *Qualifications* • BS in a technical discipline or equivalent working experience • *3+ years of test engineering experience* •* 2+ years of BI developer experience (OBI or Cognos)* • *Solid report report generation skills utilizing BI tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau, Cognos Impromptu or QlikView)* • *DB development and Data modeling experience* • Experience working with Data Warehouse • Experience working with large structured data sets • Excellent SQL knowledge (Oracle) • Knowledge of test methodologies and debugging • *Coding skills in Java or Python with scripting skills in at least one common language (Perl, Shell)* • *Highly proficient in a Unix/Linux environment* • Strong communication skills • Must be a team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision • Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver • Self-taught and self-teaching, with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills *Highly Desired Skills* • Performance testing a plus • Excellent knowledge and proven, multi-year experience in Agile/Lean development environments performing testing Regards Aman Bhattacharya [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
