Senior Software Engineer (Multiple Openings)
The Senior Software Engineer is a key member of the development team and
plays an important role in the success. The successful candidate:
· Brings deep and wide knowledge of software development practices,
languages, tools, and technology to the table;
· Helps maintain and enhance to meet the evolving needs of various
stakeholders and customers;
· Is a practitioner of the develops philosophy, and is equally
capable of development, operations, and infrastructure activities;
· Believes and participates in disciplined approaches to agile
software development like daily Scrums, iterative and test-driven
development, and continuous integration and delivery;
· Has designed and developed high-visibility and -volume
applications;
· Is capable of guiding junior developers and offshore development
teams;
· Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and
builds strong relationships with teammates, customers, and senior
management;
· Manages time efficiently and completes tasks based on priority
and impact on the overall schedule;
· Keeps in touch with emerging technology and helps evaluate new
tools;
· Quickly comes up-to-speed on production support and is able to
provide tactical fixes as well as strategic solutions to issues found
during Level 2 support;
· Is a detail-oriented individual who doesn't lose sight of the big
picture while working on very low-level implementation;
· Is available for off-hours production support and scheduled
maintenance of systems and applications
*Minimum Qualifications*
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field;
• Expert J2EE development, SQL development on Oracle;
• SOAP Web Services development in Java;
• WebLogic and/or JBoss platform experience;
• Sound understanding of SOA, OOA, EAI, and design patterns;
• Experience with Sun Solaris, Linux, and Windows platforms;
• Agile development with Scrum.
Additional Qualifications (preferred, but not required)
• Flex development experience;
• Java certification;
• Experience with EDI;
• Experience developing manufacturing, logistics and supply chain
applications;
• JBoss SOA, BPM, and BRMS experience;
• Experience developing Nosql applications at web scale.
