*Linux Administrator* *Location: **Atlanta, GA* *Duration: 12months* Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating system servers, Apache web servers, Weblogic app servers, DNS, LDAP, VMware and other application servers in support of business processing requirements. Resolves customer impacting issues in timely manner. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensures data recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. This role needs to have resource available on call 24X7. This role also involves working with the servers at the data center. Required Qualifications - · Strong knowledge of installation, configuration and management of Weblogic server. · Experience with DNS, LDAP and CFEngine. · 2-3 years experience in installation and management of VMware Host. · System Support and Trouble Analysis skills (root cause analysis, alarm management platforms, troubleshooting, etc) · Strong network troubleshooting skills · Scripting language · Knowledge of Configuration, Backup, and Restoral processes and use of Netbackup software. · Good communication skills.
