Key Responsibilities:
· Migrate SQL Server 2005 databases to SQL Server 2012
· Migrate SQL Server SAN disk on a 2005 Cluster from Clariion to
3PAR.
· Develop and document project requirements, including detailed
specs, work estimates, timelines, deliverables and milestones.
· Operate within Alcoa IS standards and conventions and applicable
Alcoa BU/RU IT standards.
· Ensure compliance with all internal guidelines (with a specific
focus on business partnerships, change control, disaster recovery, and
security) for SQL Server Infrastructure.
Skills:
· Experience with installation, configuration, migration, backup
and recovery of SQL Server 2012/2008/2005.
· Experience with the design and implementation of SQL Server
Clusters (active/active, active/passive).
· Experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server
Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
· Experience performing upgrades of SQL Server 2000/2005/2008
databases to SQL Server 2008/2012.
· Experience in creating tables, stored procedures, views, indexes,
cursors, triggers, user profiles and relational database models.
· Experience in query optimization and performance tuning of stored
procedures, functions and views.
· Experience in creating business, functional and technical
documentation.
