The team, comprised of both software engineers and technical operations engineers, are responsible for deploying, maintaining and triaging state-of-the-art software that drives the X1 Platform. We are looking to fill a technical leader who can develop, maintain and service key deployment systems and related infrastructure. The position we are trying to fill is a senior DevOps engineer who is very comfortable with programming, scripting, operations, and leading a small group of people. The candidate’s responsibilities will be more than just an operations support, more than applications development. This position requires ownership of the software development lifecycle from start to finish, including coding, maintenance, support and triage. *The key technologies that are required for this position are:* - Puppet - Activiti workflow engine (or knowledge in similar workflow technology) - VMware - Management of large scale DevOps projects *Experience in the areas below will also be very helpful in fulfilling this job:* - Scala - Aka - General scripting (shell, perl, ruby, Capistrano) - Java programming/packaging, nexus repository, jetty, and other JVM deployment related technologies. - Linux (CentOS), networking, FW, and other related infrastructure knowledge and know-how. - Database technologies (Cassandra) knowledge is also very helpful. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
