*Location: Philadelphia, PA * *Duration: 6 Months Contract * *Interview: Phone & Face to Face* *Start Date: ASAP * *General Description*: The Data Warehouse Analyst will lead the collection of system/business requirements and the documentation of business and technical data dictionaries/metadata and specifications in support of complex strategic Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions, including critical strategic assignments. The Analyst will use his/her technical skills to translate the Business requirements into technical EDW solution and mapping documents for the warehouse team. A key requirement will be experience with SQL which will be used to perform data discovery, data profiling, sourcing and mapping solutions for new or enhanced applications for the enterprise data warehouse. They will develops testing scenarios and utilize their SQL skills to provide integrated testing support to the EDW team. *Primary Responsibilities*: · Develop a detailed understanding of the EDW, its information, usage and all attendant processes · Ability to query data from an SQL database, perform analysis, and prepare technical mapping and data recommendations · Perform data profiling of data sources and data warehouse tables and analyze the results to determine how to meet business requirements · Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information from other systems for EDW analysis and sourcing · Use strong analytical reasoning to understand the user community requirements and transform those requirements into detailed EDW solution and mapping documents · Develop team testing scenarios, result sets and perform 2nd level testing for EDW projects and enhancements · Must be able to work well independently in a highly deadline driven quality results oriented environment. · Lead the effort to collect, analyze and document the business requirements for sourcing and supplying data to meet business needs · Prepare accurate and detailed business and functional requirement specification documents · Evaluate and document detail programming specifications and input and output file layouts · Assist in the resolution of questions, support issues, and problems to ensure timely answers and positive client satisfaction results · Pro-actively communicate status and identify risks of data warehouse projects, requests, and issues with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms · Act as an interface between the internal user community and data warehouse team · Expert experience leading and writing technical specifications · Ability to facilitate meetings and lead group discussions for complex projects with multiple stake holders · Experience working within a team, ensuring collaboration and dissemination of all relevant information *Job Requirements:* · A minimum of a bachelor of science in Computer Science, CIS/MIS or equivalent degree from an accredited four year institution preferred. · A minimum of 3 years’ experience with SQL Server 2005/2008. · A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with large scale data systems · A minimum of 3 years working with applications that utilize data modeling (conceptual, logical and physical mode design), model management for MDM, EDW and/or Data Marts. · Demonstrable experience with SQL and query skills · Experience with data modeling is desirable · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
