*Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills * QA Tester – Job Description The Quality Assurance Tester will focus on analyzing and executing the most effective testing strategies to ensure that our Identity and Access Management solution deployments exceed quality standards. *Primary responsibilities include:* - Work with technical and business resources to understand requirements for each component of the affected applications. - Write and maintain test plans, documenting bugs, and communicating with Engineering/Development, Operations and Project Management. - Develop manual and automated test scripts for user interface, functionality, system, load, integration and "ad-hoc testing". - Execute regression tests, functional tests and data quality tests. - Document and ensure quality assurance practices are met. - Other duties as assigned. *Requirements: * - Experience with automated QA testing in an enterprise environment - Ability to write basic test scripts - Working knowledge of J2EE including Javascript, BeanShell, Tomcat, JBoss - Exposure to Unix/Linux and Windows environments with knowledge of commands & basic shell scripting - Knowledge and work experience of IAM and related technologies including; SailPoint IdentityIQ, AD, LDAP, CyberArk, Ping and other platforms, is a plus. *Soft Skills* § Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders § Creative solving of technical problems – to ensure the ability translate technical requirements test plans § Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – ensures the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly § Ability to think abstract – to ensure ability to not conform to the norm. Norms do not find bugs quickly. Bachelor’s degree in Business, CS, or equivalent and 6+ years tech exp or business exp that includes working closely with IT. Must be able to design test cases & perform local & strategic execution strategies. Competence in test estimation and in functional requirement analysis. 3+ years experience in creating and driving automated testing, competence in test planning for a team or project, 5+ years proficiency levels with quality center and quick test Pro covering test case repository tool operations & defect management tool operations. Management responsibilities for other QA staff.
