*Long Term* Responsible for designing tooling and fixturing used in the assembly process. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering personnel to resolve issues in the shop related to fixturing and tooling. Develop tools and processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost in the manufacturing process. * Responsibilities Include:* ¾ Design welding or assembly fixtures using NX 3D software. This includes creating models and drawings. ¾ Resolve shop issues related to tools and fixtures. ¾ Works with management, customers and other representatives in the planning, scheduling, engineering and manufacturing areas to ensure that the tooling requirements needed for all new orders comply with customer requirements, engineering specifications and production schedules. ¾ Ability to create Poka-Yoke designs to prevent possible operator errors in using the tooling and fixtures. Administer a continuing program of review and analysis of all tooling and fixturing. ¾ Provide technical guidance and liaise with sales, service, operations, and engineering on all group projects ¾ Ensure that supplier and sub-contracted components/systems meet requirements ¾ Run FEA structural analysis on designs ¾ Collaborate with vendors and purchasing to get quotes and procure special tooling. ¾ Work closely with production schedules to ensure all tooling is designed, procured, and ready to go before the start of production. ¾ Coordinate with outside resources to complete designs models, and drawings to meet delivery commitments. *Regards,* *Atul Sharma* *IT -recruiter* [email protected] <[email protected]> *Direct: 408.418.5778 EXT 3033* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "only.SAP" group.
