Ну вот поискал и нашел за пять минут. В стандарте RFC822 (см. напр. http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc0822.txt) сказано: 4.4.4. AUTOMATIC USE OF FROM / SENDER / REPLY-TO For systems which automatically generate address lists for replies to messages, the following recommendations are made: ... - If the "Reply-To" field exists, then the reply should go to the *addresses* (выделено мной. - А.К.) indicated in that field and not to the address(es) indicated in the "From" field. Соответственно, напр. на странице http://cr.yp.to/immhf/response.html так прямо и сказано, что "The value of a Reply-To, Mail-Reply-To, or Mail-Followup-To field is an address list."
