I still would like a little more clarification on what exactly they mean. Brian will point out that when you make a character you make the mortal first then apply the supernatural template to it. In our case if we follow the same base rules as a retainer and then apply the supernatural template (ie the one describing how our zombies are made/stated in the book) then we get the crappy version from the bloodline write up. I guess I luck out because the AMST rules, now my RST, had told me to make it like a normal human retainer, then add the level four power to that.
