Hello!

Just in case someone is curious, I have some vague performance numbers
for ooh323c.

My hardware is a dual 2.8Ghz Xeon with 2GB RAM, running Fedore Core 2 plus
my kernel patches.

I've created a soft phone, based loosely on the demo phone that comes with
ooh323c that utilizes the ooh323c stack and sends/receives RTP (read from a
.wav file).

I have configured the system to make 104 calls to self (208 soft phones).
The system is mostly handling this OK, with a load of about 30 and an RTP
latency of 2-5 miliseconds. I did an earlier test with 78 soft phones
and the load did not go above 8 (and the average latency was less than 1ms).

Each call uses about 2.3MB of RES memory and 1.8MB of shared memory. Virtual
mem is about 5M.

Currently, I am not using any jitter buffer nor am I decoding the received
RTP, so the performance will probably decrease as the rtp stack gains more
features...

Thanks,
Ben
