Just a reminder that the main communication vehicle
in the ASF is the mailing list.
This is *important*...
In the ASF it it didn't happen on the mailing list then it didn't
happen. In other words, feel free to discuss with people who happen to
be in IRC (or the office down the corridor) but don't make any decisions
there.
All (potentially contentious) "decisions" made offlist must be brought
to the list in the form of a proposal in order to give the community the
chance to respond and (just as importantly) to document/archive the
decision.
