I try to get an administrative installation of a developer snapshot on my netbook having Windows 7 starter, for to test several versions parallel.
I unpack the binary and install it with "setup.exe -a". I get a folder with a 'program' subfolder. Therein is the file 'bootstap.ini' where I set UserInstallation=$ORIGIN/..
This way of proceeding works well on my PC with WinXP. But on my netbook the program terminates directly after starting of soffice.exe. It generates the folder 'user' and writes the file .lock, but then terminates with a Windows error message. When I copy the whole folder to my PC, it works without problems there.
The problem is only with an administrative installation, not with a regular installation.
Is anyone out there, who can test, whether it works for him, or can give me a tip, what might be wrong with my Windows 7?
