I wanted a smoking gun from someone with 3.4 but this sounds
near enough ;).
I committed the fix as revision 1244150.
I did a quick test with a 3.4 dev snap shot.
1. all macros were uncomment
2. no macro was assigned to the button
Reload the document with check mark "Executable code" for VBA
1. still no macro assigned
2. assign macro "CommandButton1_Click" to the button
3. insert some text
4. click button -> office crashed
