I checked the subscriber list for ooo-dev and noticed that there were
5 people subscribed from openoffice.org addresses, including some
committers. So I sent out this reminder.

If moderators on other ooo-* lists wish to do the same, it would be
most welcome.

Moderators can get a list of subscribers by sending an email to:

[email protected]

Replace "foo" with the actual list name, like "ooo-dev", "ooo-users",
"ooo-users-de", etc.

The note must be sent from the moderator's email account.

I did that, then extracted all the openoffice.org email addresses and
send them a reminder. I bcc'ed the recipients, in order to avoid
making their email addresses public.

If you are willing/able to do this, please respond to this note,
saying what list you will cover, so we don't duplicate effort.

Regards,

-Rob

Subject: Reminder: Retirement of openoffice.org email addresses
To:

This note is being sent out (bcc) to all subscribers of the
[email protected] who are subscribed via an openoffice.org
email address. Please know that these openoffice.org email addresses
will stop working after March 16th, 2012.

More information on this can be found here:

https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/retirement_of_openoffice_org_email

If you wish to continue receiving ooo-dev posts, then you will need to
resubscribe via another email address, by sending an email from that
address to:  [email protected].

If you are an Apache committer, also be sure to change your Apache
forwarding address as well, so it does not forward to an
openoffice.org address:

https://id.apache.org/

Regards,

-Rob
