Well it showed that migrating the old berkeleydb data was manageable as the data it stored was in a format that could be imported without too much effort and without any new external dependencies
Issue 119113 is about the extension blobs not being installed because an upgrade isn't considered a new installation so the first-start functionality is not triggered which would install the extensions.
