I'm running Mac OS X version 10.6.8 using Safari version 5.1.5
I go to http://www.openoffice.org/download/other.html and under Mac OS PPC ยน
DMG/English (US) click on 3.2.1
That takes me to:
http://voxel.dl.sourceforge.net/project/openofficeorg.mirror/stable/3.2.1/OOo_3.2.1_MacOS_PPC_install_en-US.dmg
which then automatically downloads OOo_3.2.1_MacOS_PPC_install_en-US.dmg
I am on Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Google Chrome 18.0.1025.163
I get immediately redirected from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/openofficeorg.mirror/files/stable/3.2.1/OOo_3.2.1_MacOS_PPC_install_en-US.dmg/download
I opened that link in Safari and it downloaded OOo_3.2.1_MacOS_PPC_install_en-US.dmg and it
did not redirect.
I copied the URL and opened it in Google Chrome 18.0.1025.163 and it downloaded
OOo_3.2.1_MacOS_PPC_install_en-US.dmg
I tried Firefox 11.0 and it redirected to
http://sourceforge.net/projects/openofficeorg.mirror/files/latest/download?_test=sidebarand
and downloaded the Intel version OOo_3.3.0_MacOS_x86_install_en-US.dmg
Tried Opera 11.62 and it did not redirect and downloaded
OOo_3.2.1_MacOS_PPC_install_en-US.dmg
to
http://sourceforge.net/projects/openofficeorg.mirror/files/latest/download?_test=sidebar
which then downloads 3.3 for Intel.
I got that redirect with Firefox. Safari, Chrome, and Opera downloaded the PPC
version
