Done. Thanks for finding it, for analyzing it and for providing the patch. It is always amazing to see such a little typo causing so much work and trouble.
The fix is so low-risk and all-beneficial that I'd love to have it in our bugfix release AOO341 even though it certainly does not qualify for any of the blocker criteria.
