One is about xls saving: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=120168 root cause: All chart will be persisted as xml format on disk when xls saving, which is time consuming. resolution: If the chart has not been modified, then no need to update the persist files redundantly. Do not call storeOwn() when not necessary. Another is about odt saving: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=120124 you can also refer to the wiki : http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/ODT_saving_performance_improvement root cause: >From profiling data, a document(with many graphics) is to be found that graphics will be swapped out and swapped in so frequently when saving. resolution: GraphicCache can be used to optimized this problem, graphics can be cached a while when haven't exceed the cache size. For grapchic size hasn't been used and set limit on it.
