The bug appeared yet again this morning when I opened Data Ranges to check while writing the bug submission. This is an old, 2yrs+ sheet about 1.5 MB in size, that is updated almost daily. Format is native .ods. The spreadsheet contains a number of simpler charts on separate sheets: histogram, pie, scatter, etc. No problems there. The chart giving me problems is an xy and is the most complex as it has 6 series. I will try cloning the current spreadsheet and remove the other sheets/charts and see if the problem is reproducible in the clone. If so, I can attach the clone. Just need to find the time :( I understand that if you folks can't reproduce it you can't fix it. But it is definitely a bug as it has happened often enough, and the characteristics of the defect remain identical.
