Dear Open Office staff
Open office has been my prefered word processer for the last two years due to
the fact that it´s an international project and more importantly isn´t
microsoft. I currently need to work with it in Arabic and have found that I
either don´t know how to use it correctly or, as I believe, the more likely
conclusion is that there are some problems with the program.
These problems occur when:
- I try to insert English text (such as a quote or name) into an Arabic text by
using cut and paste or by just trying to write it in,
- I try to put a full stop at the end of a parragraph or sentence,
- I try to insert numbers and any characters other than arabic ones into the
text,
Any work on this would be greatly appreciated and would allow me to continue
using Open Office in the future. I´m not sure exactly who this email has to
get to but I´m sending it to various addresses in the hope that it reaches the
right people. Of course if it was fowarded within the organization that would
also help.
