Bug #: 118745
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: digits: all digits should have the same width
Classification: Application
Product: Word processor
Version: OOo 3.3
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows 7
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: formatting
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
This problem happen when version 3.3 is run on both Windows XP and Windows 7.
The Language of OperOffice and the operating system is Chinese (traditional),
but I don't think it matters.
1. Select Times New Roman, size 8 points.
2. Type "11112222" on one line, and then "22221111" in the next line.
PROBLEM. Highlight all eight "2"'s. You will notice that the "2" is slightly
wider
than the "1".
EXPECTATION. For vertical alignment of digits (e.g. tabulation), all digits
have the same width, except for rare fonts.
REFERENCE: Microsoft Word 2007 and 2003 have this problem. However, Microsoft
WordPad (which comes with Windows XP) does *not* have this problem.
