Bug #: 119294
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Cannot remove "password to open" and keep "password to
allow editing"
Classification: Application
Product: Word processor
Version: AOO340-dev
Platform: PC
OS/Version: All
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: save-export
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
OpenOffice 3.4-RC does not properly remove the "password to open" if the
"password to allow editing" is set.
Regression with respect to 3.3.0.
1. Create a new Writer document
2. File - Save As - "test.odt", check "Save with password"
3. Set "password to open" = "aaaaa" and under "file sharing" enable "Open file
read-only" and set "password to allow editing" to "bbbbb"
4. Save and reopen
5. Enter "aaaaa", the document opens read-only, click the "Modify" icon, enter
"bbbbb", the document is open for editing
6. Save again, check "Save with password"
7. Leave "password to open" blank and under "file sharing" enable "Open file
read-only" and set "password to allow editing" to "ccccc".
Expected result: the file can be opened without a password (works in 3.3.0).
The "password to allow editing" is set to "ccccc".
Actual result: the file still needs a password to be opened, which is the one
previously set, i.e., "aaaaa". The "password to allow editing" is correctly set
to "ccccc".
