On windows, with quickstarter enabled and displaying in system tray.
double-click on the quickstarter icon
"Template and Document - New Document" dialog appears...
But I suggest to add openoffice home page into quickstarter and set it as the
default item for double-click action, just like user click the shortcut from
desktop
