This is a typical document originally distributed as .doc, originally read in
OO3.3 and saved as odt
7/14/2012 This is the third time I have tried to install 3.4, this is a 386
system with 2 GB of memory. Vista Home
Each time it crashes similar to the description below.
I downloaded it again, and destroyed the previous unpack folder.
I killed the soffice.exe
I recycled the contents of
C:\Users\albert\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice.org\3\user
I executed the install file I had downloaded.
It installed typical installation without problem.
I clicked on the OO3.4 icons to start OO, it crashed before it finished
loading.
I loaded the installation setup again and removed OO3.4
I recycled the contents of
C:\Users\albert\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice.org\3\user again
I installed typical installation again.
Again I tried to start OO3.4 and it crashed.
I started it again and it came up ok asking for a file.
I opened the "middle ground.odt" file without problem
I selected print, then selected only page 3.
At OK it crashed again, and immediately started the recovery process. It
recovered ok.
