I'm not familiar with those filters and you are already working on it, therefore I will not commit it. But perhaps the patch is useful for you. There are still problems with drawing objects in Word documents. For example with axial gradient, if the object is rotated and the option "rotate with form" is checked in Word, then import is still wrong with applied patch.
