First thing I want to mention is that AOO is not a clone of Microsoft Office. The described behavior is intended. If the user request a decrease of the indentation, the indentation is decreased. If we want to change this behavior, then we should better request such a change as an enhancement to improve the user experience. For me this is not a defect. I propose to close this issue as INVALID and to submit a new issue of type enhancement to request a change in the user experience and discuss such a change in the community. [Note: My preference here is not to change this behavior.] [Question: Did you see what happens in Microsoft Word 2003, when you have a paragraph with negative indentation and then request a "decrease of the indent" via the toolbar?
