Simple 1x3 csv file, comma delimited. Follow steps 1-3 above to see delimiter
change to tab
1) Open a comma-delimited CSV file.
2) Delete one or more columns
3) File/save
File is now tab delimited. To prevent this, I have to go to 'Save as', and
choose 'Edit filter settings' (which correctly default to comma), overwriting
the original file.
After going through the save as route once and explicitly setting filter
settings, further column deletions do not cause file to revert to tab
delimited, unless it is closed and re-opened.
