FATIMA OMER <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #2 from FATIMA OMER <[email protected]> --- Successfully replicated the bug using the following environment: OS: Windows XP Tool: OpenOffice Version: 3.4.1 Build: 1372282 Here are the steps that were followed to replicate the bug: (1) Open the Perennial.doc (attached to the bug report) using OpenOffice Writer. (2) The warning message shown in docx-warning.jpg gets displayed. Click on "No". (3) The warning message shown in docx-warning2.jpg gets displayed. Click on "Ok". (4) The warning message shown in docx-warning.jpg gets displayed again. Continue clicking "No" and "Ok" for docx-warning.jpg and docx-warning2.jpg respectively. Repeat this 8 times. After the eighth time, the OpenOffice Writer opens up the document. To verify the reporter's comment, the document was renamed to .docx (instead of .doc) and doing this resolved the warning message problem. It is important to fix the bug because the user should not be taken through a loop of multiple warning messages. If there is a real incompatibility issue between .doc and .docx, the user should be shown the option to repair the document only once. If the user clicks "No", the document should not be opened. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
