Scott Fuller <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #3 from Scott Fuller <[email protected]> --- I was able to replicate the described behavior in OO 3.4.1, using the following procedure: 1. Open OO writer via Start menu 2. Change Font Color to 'Black' via menu toolbar option. * 3. Enter text, which will properly show as 'Black' in color 4. Save document as an ODF Text Document (.odt) 5. Close the current OO Writer window 6. Close OpenOffice.org 3.4.1 Quickstarter via the 'Show hidden icons' button on the Windows 7 taskbar 6a. Click the 'Show hidden icons' button 6b. Right-click the OppenOffice.org 3.4.1 Quickstarter icon 6c. Click Exit Quickstarter 7. Reopen the saved document from the file manager (I saved to my default 'Documents' Library) 8. Note that the Font Color is now set to 'Red' once more. However, any entered text will in fact match the previously used font color * Note that upon launching OO Writer, the default Font Color appears to be set to 'Red' although any entered text will, in fact, be black. Screenshot 1 depicts this behavior, and is identical to what will be seen at step 8, with the exception that the file actually is named and saved. My understanding of the original report, based on my testing, is that the bug is that the Font Color (as displayed on the toolbar) being incorrect when first launching Writer without the OpenOffice.org 3.4.1 Quickstarter already running. If the document is closed and re-opened without closing the Quickstarter, the Font Color will remain the same as it was. Note that, as mentioned earlier, the displayed Font Color on launch does not correspond to the color of text entered. Possible follow-up tests could involve testing other methods of changing font color (such as via the Character dialog in the Format menu), and whether this bug affects other OO applications that utilize Font Color. The behavior of this bug may possibly be related to issue 120372, because they both involve the same feature (the Font Color toolbar option). However, this potential relationship is currently untested.
